A recent study by D’Souza, O’Mahony, and Achoba (2022) highlights the pressing foot care challenges those experiencing homelessness face. Clean socks play a crucial role in maintaining foot health, reducing the risk of infections and complications such as immersion foot, frostbite, and "street feet." Despite their essential role in foot care, socks remain among the least donated items.
