Plantar Wart: A plantar wart is a lesion on the skin caused by the Human Papilloma Virus. It is called a “plantar” wart because it appears on bottom of the foot. There are many different strains of the virus and, as a result there are many different types of warts. Warts on the foot can be round and raised or flat, big or small.

At Sōl Foot & Ankle Centers we use a specially compounded medication to treat plantar warts. We can usually get rid of the lesion much faster than other treatments and avoid having to surgically excise the lesions.
